Futakoi Alternative ep 1-3

I only saw ep 1 but am wondering [what the wackiness will lead to]

The opening with tentacles...

Grabbling on to uh, a pair of hot twin girls was uh...

a nice start to get my attention.

I feel as though this show was made by the animators of 2x2 Shinobuden cause the ending sequences uses some very cute still-animation [claymation?] scenes and the goofiness+fanservice seem to be done by the same director. I could be wrong

BUT WHOA... I'm guessing the original Futakoi was too tame or something?

From what I heard, the first series was absolute crap since it was just another harem series with twins. This is one of the biggest 180 degree turn ever made to an anime series. For some odd reason, it sort of remind me of a light version of FLCL.

The show seems like it can't really make up it's mind what it wants to be. Some parts are all over the top FLCL style antics, but others are more of less mundane wacky.. if there is such a thing.
