I thought GitS: SAC was only 26 episodes long in total? But you're telling me that there is 26 episodes for the first season and... 26 episodes (?) for the second? So... confused... @_@


And FMA is taking a break only because they're still in the process of dubbing it.

One of the things about Japanese television is that, if they want to expand on a limited series, they create it as separate shows instead of "seasons".

For example, Steel Angel Kurumi (and the Encore OAVs) is followed not by "the second season", but The Steel Angel Kurumi 2, Magic Knight Rayearth is followed by Magic Knight Rayearth 2, Cardcaptor Sakura is followed by Cardcaptor Sakura: Master of the Clow, and so forth.
