  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

I don't know what this anime is about, and maybe that helped in this case as I had no expectations about what this video was going to be like or what was going to happen in it. I think I've seen AMVs that use this anime, but those always feature scenes that are VERY different from what you used here, which I also appreciated. It's pretty much unheard of to have an anime or film where the main character is an actual older adult, so I was interested to see where this would go.

Reading your dedication in the video description did set up certain expectations and those were never really met. And that is not a bad thing, either. You never actually said that this would be an AMV about COVID. And it doesn't have to be! At least I don't think it was. Regardless, this was a pretty compelling drama video.

I am never a big fan of this kind of music, as it just comes on a little too heavy and thick for my tastes. At times it kind of overwhelms the video for me. But it did not ruin it. I liked that the most dramatic and action packed scenes were saved for moments in the music where they really fit. The last 30 seconds or so (before the end credits) really packed a lot into a small space but it did feel like a suitable ending.

I'm not sure if the scene in the doctor's office needed the speech bubble effect. Would viewers understand what was happening in this scene if you didn't use it? Um... I don't know. Maybe?
