The idea was to riff off the aesthetics of Evangelion except make it about trains. I think it landed somewhere in the middle.

What a trip. I feel like Eva AMVs always have the wackiest concepts to them and I love it. This might be too complicated to explain, but would you mind revealing some of your secrets for how you did the dancing inverted drawings at around 17 seconds? They look amazing and I'd like to steal the technique if possible.

Oh man, this is so weird, I love it. Your approach to effects use always brightens my day. Nice job putting a unique twist onto this source, which I don't feel like I should be able to say about Evangelion in 2020, but here we are.

Someone once told me that an Evangelion video can work with literally any song, and that has continued to be proven true time after time.

I used the scene from the final episode with all the scribbles and such. I put in on a layer above the raw edit, and used the 'difference' layer style. I upped the contrast, inverted it, keyed out the black, then adjusted the colors with the color corrector. Hopefully that makes sense?
