We Live Pokemon tribute

Post by neko kitkat » Mon Feb 08, 2016 7:02 pm

So I made a Pokemon tribute to celebrate the 20th anniversary. Pokemon has always had a special place in my heart so I thought I be fitting to do something for it.

So kewt QWQ You did a great job at capturing both the old nostalgic elements and how Pokemon has grown over the years. Nice job ^0^

I get the appeal but I didn't like it very much. Had too much of a scattershot approach; I wish there had been more of a progression, i.e. from older Pokemon stuff to newer, but it didn't seem like there was and so felt just kinda like you threw a bunch of random scenes together. It works as a tribute but I feel like it could have been waaaaay more effective. Also, there were some incorrect aspect ratios and that also kinda bugged me :/

Wow. Where to begin....
I played Pokemon Red when I was 16 when a boyfriend at the time lent it to me. I use to watch it on TV from time to time, but was too busy being a teenager. I was instantly hooked and it was the first RPG that I had ever played.

I drove my now husband crazy playing Silver all night when we were first together.

My son was interested when I was playing Diamond, but I told him he had to learn to read as I didn't want to read the entire game to him. He learned the next year in Senior Kindergarten. Now my daughter is into her first game, Omega Red.

Just overall amazing memories all around. I'm going to add this one to my collection.

I am 33 and I'm one of the coolest moms because I know about Pokemon :D

Wow that is a trip done memory lane. I was 10 when Pokemon first came out. I'm 30 now. I have to say there were moments in this video that were really done well, and I can see how when people who grew up with it at first would be all over this video. I did also notice like CrackTheSky the aspect ratios were off. I think some scene selections could have been better as well, but as a tribute to one of the biggest gaming, and animes out there this is a very nice tribute.
No matter what, stay calm, stay cool and live life to the fullest.
Plus as Gene would say always go big in life.

I'm not going to lie, I teared up a lot while watching this.

Totally Mareep approved.
