461 Best Buys to Sell Anime at 50% off

ICv2 reports, and ANN has confirmed via other sources, that Best Buy will be changing their anime strategy to focus on stores where anime has performed well historically. These stores will continue to carry a full selection of anime titles, while other stores will cut their selection to only the top selling anime.

The selection will be cut at approximately 800 stores out of Best Buy's just over 1,000 (1,006 as of February 19) stores in the USA. Of these, 461 stores will carry only the top-20 titles.

The 461 stores that will be cutting their selection to A-List-only titles will be holding a clearance sale with their usual prices reduced a further 50%. The sale will run from March 1 to March 21. The entire list of stores is as follows:

I didn't list the stores, as it's a pretty large list. But, click the link above, and see if you have a local Best Buy store selling off their anime titles in clearance.

It'd be nice if they separated that list by state instead of what seems to be a random splattering. They're not even sorted by store number or city name.

Hmm, the nearest one to me's about an hour away. But I was heading up there to spend a few nights next week anyway, so all's good.

Well, the main Best Buy I go to is going to keep its full stock it looks. Although, I usually buy my DVDs online, except for Media Blasters box sets, which Best Buy always is cheaper than anywhere I've seen online. I don't have much money right now, but I'll check in some of my local stores to snag a deal or two.

Seems mine is off the list. Though I usually go to Suncoast in my local mall which seems to have a bigger selection.

There is one about a half-hour away that's getting clearance'd, might go check it out.

Here's a list that worked for me. To cross reference the list, just do a BB locator search & the store # are listed along with their addresses.

Just picked up Buso Renkin box 2 for $20. Hoping to go to a couple others to browse their selection, maybe find Ouran 2. A sale this good REALLY makes me want to splurge.
