Lol, man that would be in 3-4 years time. Here in england, 500GB is around £50. But the currency is roughly double, so it's a $100.

Smaller drives are still useful for system drives. especially for fixed-use systems.

ive never had any problems with oem hdds from newegg, nice bubblewrapped fortress in a packing peanut bed.

I wouldn't hesitate to order from them, but it's a situation that many people have complained about. I've had stuff wrapped in bubblewrap and dropped in the bottom of an empty box. Then some crumpled paper was pushed in before sealing it. Still, no problems so far.
