LED Base Plate (for trophies)

Those of you who have won one of those glass or lucite trophies might be interested in these light bases to show them off. Each base is a 2.5" square and comes with a wall transformer.

How exactly do these work? Every glass/Lucite trophy i've ever seen (or won) has had a solid base of non translucent material on the bottom. Are these supposed to be mounted to the bottom, or would they also work from above or at an angle?

I didn't even think of that. The awards that I have all have glass bases. So, maybe these plates aren't all that useful here.

The company sells them for some odd glass artwork.
