This upgrade will not upgrade Vegas Movie Studio (Platinum or not), nor any older versions of Screenblast or VideoFactory. This is not stated at either of those links, but Sony's upgrade page lists a different product for those packages.

Also, ignore this comment at Amazon: "Upgrade version - previous version of Vegas Pro required". There are no previous versions of Vegas Pro. What they refer to are versions of professional Vegas, meaning not-Movie Studio.

The Vegas 6 deal is over and replaced by Vegas Pro 8.
