still need an hd dvd drive?? well the Xbox HD DVD drive is FULLY compatible with the computer useing Cyberlink's latest PowerDVD ULTRA software (just read that today... no link, sorry). That includes the driver, as far as the article says, I'd assume it wouldn't work without Cyberlink's driver. That's 200 (for the HD DVD player) + 100 (for the software) bucks! Pricey, but nevertheless I expect to see some new Pani Poni Dash, AirTV, Haruhi (or is that Blue Ray?? Be a shame -_- <sarcasm>) amvs out there now -_-

Yeah, my info was a little old. There was supposed to be alot of HD-DVD releases back 3 months ago when I checked last. Now, their only trickling in. there's like 2 japanese releases but that's all for HD-DVD (not region encoded anyway...). Blueray is much more popular with like 4 planned.... japanese or english, don't know. Still MUCH smaller than I had thought.
AND NO HENTAI!! I expect HD-DVD to fill with Hentai releases soon, as HD-DVD seems like it's EASILY pirateable. I DID find a Blueray drive from sony for 700 from mwave yesterday ^.^ still much more expensive than HD-DVD and not cracked... but it's writeable.
