Cheap 500GB external hard drive (UK residents)

Post by Rokodo » Sun May 18, 2008 3:58 pm

I'm not sure if this can be shipped abroad but this is an especially good deal considering the price that it was cut down from - about £130 originally. The HDD comes with back up software but you can still access the drive and create folders on it - for 32 bit windows systems, XP/Vista. I'm running one on Vista Home Premium 32bit and it works great! Comes with a 5 year warrranty.

(Extra £10 discount offer expires 10/06/2008 - 10th of the 6th month)

Seems a bit high. Assuming a 1:2 USD exchange rate Maplin is asking $140.

Newegg wants $125 for it (free stateside shipping):

Thanks for strengthening the deal there, TaranT! That'll be useful for US residents, definitely. I still think it's a good price though, especially for the prices I have seen. It's still quite a steal for me. The 750gb version is also on offer there, if anyone is interested. Look out for it.
