I find it incredible the fine line between decency and obscenety. For example, I don't know how many of you watch the Daily Show, but they recently ran an editorial on the California "Healthy Penis" campaign, targeting the rise in syphilis. It features a cartoon penis, which I found quite humerous. So, joker as I am, I tried to do a project on that for a contravercial issue (I know it is spelled wrong, shut up). I knew I was running a risk, but thought I could scrape by with a video and picture as long as I came off serious. Sure enough, I got a zero. No big whoop, right? So the next person goes, and his topic was Creation vs. Evolution. He featured that famous painting on the roof of the Sistine Chapel, which conveniently shows a naked man. He got away with it, and I wouldn't be suprised if he got full credit. I brought it up, and his argument in defense was resolution. I go to a regular public school, but it is in the Bible Belt (the south) so one could almost say that it is expressing favoritism to religion . But I do mean ALMOST. I don't want to turn this into a religious fight, I just want to blow some smoke.

I am deeply sorry. I jumped to conclusions too fast, as you can see I've had sort of a rough day. I thought, partly because of the emoticon, that it was sarcastic. Once again I am sorry, and I appreciate your input.

Nah, my situation was that for a movie we filmed for class, we acidentally recorded on a porno tape that belonged to my classmate's brother. They were gonna give us no credit, and made us stay during the break for a serious discussion with the teacher, the psychologist, and the principal (Facing a detention or suspension, 'cause the teacher had shown the movie during class ) . We explained several times what happened, but they just kept blabbing about "corruption in youth's minds" and whatnot. We would've probably stayed there all day, until I stood up, looked down on the faculty, and essentially yelled what had happened in their faces. The conversation broke up fairly quickly after that, and we turned in the movie again, minus the porn.

There's a follow-up to that story, but it is not very relevant.


So, the moral is: Either check your tapes for porn, or be prepared to argue heatedly when people are being stubborn. It works sometimes.

By the way, I don't think that the females of the forum would appreciate your PMS comment.
