my computer has mad problems

well i spent all yesterday and all lastnight into like 5am working on my comp. i was trying to get rid of windows xp and put on 98 second and it worked all well an good till i found out that i was missing 30gigs of hard drive space so i reformated and did it again then i searched for all the dirvers and shit. and now it almost works perfectly good i still cant get my on board audio or ethernet to work and it thinks i have a 3rd cd drive. also my hd formated itself into fat32 not ntfs but thats ok i guess. so if anyone has an coments or ideas on why i have a 3rd cd drive (it doesnt show up in the bios btw) then please tell me. grrr i need some sleep.

well it is about me couse im bitching about my comp and how much it sux. well i found out that win 98se makes your hd a fat format i never knew that seeing as xp uses ntfs. and everything is working except my onboard audio even though i found the correct drivers of the asus website and i have 10 pices of hardwear that i and windows dont know what they are. also my moms computer still doesnt recognize the cd rom or anything so i tryed booting win95 onto it from a boot disket and that installed the cd rom but it nees 700mb and her hd only had 400. so i made the slave the master and now she has a woping 4gigs lol but for some reason now it doesnt recognize the floppy either. god damn i hate computers so much sometimes

Ihad the same problem once. I lost 30% of my hd due to a partition. Startup on DOS and follow the "Help" section for looking to see if you have a partition.

I can't remember exactly how I fixed it, but it was very easy if you read the instructions.

You might want to look online to see if you have to partition in order for both WIN98SE and XP to be on the same system. If so, I'm all out of ideas.

thanx for the advice but i dont want both on the same system and i booted xp out already. i also recoverd my had seems i was useing the part of my partion that hp put my "recovery" thing onto but now i deleted both partitions in dos the fdisk and now everything works except my audio i fixed all the new hardwear things turns out it recogived evey part of my all in wonder as a new hardwear like the vid in was one the the audio in was another ect ect. buy my moms comp still has all those issues if anyone can help i would really apretiate it
