Anyone else want to murder the annoying "Press 1 for blah blah" people?

I just spent three days playing phone tag with evil internet company to get my internet fixed....the majority of that was decideing how to be patched through to where by maniacal monotone voice girl....

Such a disgusting waste of time to find out that the only thing wrong was one of my phones....

Sorry just needed to rant....

Yes. It's very annoying.

I think it's designed to reduce the number of people who call. So not only is your problem most likely being handled by someone in India, they don't even need to have that many Indians on the phone! Win win for everyone!

Except the customer, American workers, the economy, and our way of living. Phone based customer service jobs aren't glamorous or a real career, to be sure, but still, they're decent jobs.

Socialist or capitalist, some days I don't know what I feel...

And yes, it is quite true that India handles a lot of the telemarketing industry.

It's competing with my shithole town i canada for the phone spam capital of the world.
