That's right. I won the big spring contest with 143 subscriptions and now since that is over I have until the end of August to get to # 5000. So far I've subscribed 4,740 people to the Maryland Gazette. And now I only need 260 more. Well that's 13 weeks I have. It is going to be close.

It's only a part time job until I get out of college. Plus knowing you have great selling skills as you said nobody wants the paper but you talk people into the good parts about getting the paper and get them interested and bam you have yourself a sale. I mean come on I'm 17 and in two hours I make about $18.00. It all depends on the sales but on an average night I usually sign three people up and that's the normal pay but with bonuses it could be $24.00 - $48.00 in two hours. That's better than working at a fast food restraunt.

Do you get like :O
like...
a weekly income from subscriptions
or something
do you deliver as well
You know some of the "subscriptor people" around here are fucking pushy. I would probably kill you if you came to my door.
My mom, this dude was trying to sell her the paper and she was like "I don't want it" and he's like "oh but it's great" and she's like "I have no money and I don't want it" and he's like "no it doesn't cost much and she's like ":O I don't want it" so he's like "I'll just leave this here with you and sign you up" and hse's like "fuck off".

Pushy fuckers
They should all die!

No I don't deliver the paper anymore. But yes you have to be a little pushy because you never know when you'll say the right thing and it may trigger there interest. But usually I stop if they are like a really mean no right away or if they are just politly saying no then I say well we have this this and this. And if that doesn't work. Then oh well. But I'm not going to tell you my sales pitch because I change it all the time depending on the type of person that is at the door. You have to be creative when you sell. And that goes for anything.
