If that were true, charites and the like would not exist. And as to the other, I prefure to belive that man is basicly good, and it is one of the few things I will belive blindly, because if man has no inclanation, that suggests a lack of a higher power, and if man is basicly evil, what hope for a better tomorrow is there? (Remember one of the underlieing points of communsim is that man is basicly evil, and needs strong leaders to curb these tendancys. See how well that turned out. . .)Some might argue that we only do the right thing when we feel it is in our own best interest, or when it will not directly effect our pocketbooks negatively.
Personally I haven't decided, human kind varies too much based on culture and socioeconomics to really make broad categorizations as to what exactly defines the "right thing." (guess I don't subscribe to the concept of Natural Law...)
In any case, my intrest in debating this topic has waned. I may intergect a comment here and there, but my opinions stand. My whole point was to get you to see my points.
