well if here parents know then your best bet is to tell them the meds ain't working and that she still feels dead inside. I say you report EVERYTHING to them.

The bipolar people I knew even hid most of it from their parents and friends. It was (for them) basically their thoughts that were messed up and only those people that they told knew about it. At school, they seemed hyper even sometimes and happy but the feelings they hid from most people they still confided in at least someone.

Not that I am saying that's what she is...though the bipolar person I knew very well seemed almost like he was on drugs at times from his delusions though I knew he wasn't. I guess the whole person is more complicated than one disease can explain.

Indeed, but that does sound alot like her. Like I said I'm not sure exactly what classification of depression she's under.

well delusions and sudden depression sounds alot like she is bi-polar.

Have the meds she took ever worked? Did she never complete them even...just stop taking them or that they made her sick?

If she has been on so many kinds, obviously her parents know she is depressed but if you tell her parents everything to help her...it may be that she won't talk to you again or even not admit them to her parents.

The best thing for Ed to do in the end is what he feels he should. Not let this drag him down to the point that it possibly has?...but if you really want to help her that is what you are going to have to do. That way you won't have regret that you could have done something if you guys end up calling it quits permanently. I just hope you draw a line somewhere and not go past it.

:D <---encouragement smiley

:\ ...
I um

I guess I could email her mom... but, don't get me started on her mom. That is NOT the place to go for help...

I dunno, I need to talk to her more myself about this, it was only 4hrs on thursday that we talked... and like I said she is writing a hopefully long and complete response to the stuff I wrote her later on in reaction.
We'll see.
If, 6 months of being apart drew her away, then maybe 6 months of being together will bring her back :o
:O
once again... we'll see...

have you or your GF have a face to face discusion with someone qualified to give you advice. This is a long drawn out issue. I don't even feel quite comfortable with some of the advice I've given because I am only getting the tip of the iceberg. Loveline (if you get it where you live) would probably get you or your GF the adivce you need. Failing that, a counselor at school or something.
