Don't worry, the proportion screwups happen to the best of us.

The sad thing is, you don't usually notice them until you've finished the whole pic and showed it to a bunch of people

Happened to me quite a bit before.

Usually, as is the case with your pic though, it's not too bad. I mean, even actual anime gets their proportions off from time to time...

indeed, thats why I now take my pics and hold them out from me so I can see just how bad I did on the proportions before I do something stupid like ink it over to where I can correct the mistake..o.O
