Wow. LA to Missouri. I shudder to think of what that transition must have been like. (Though I suppose that if you live in St. Louis, it wouldn't be quite so much culture shock.) What the freak would cause you/your family to move that far?

But yeah... bizarre town names are fun. One of my (mock) life goals is to found a town in Utah and name it Cheese Danish. No particular reason or anything. I just think it would be fun. Oh, and then found a catholic town right next to it called Immaculate Conception.

I just have way too much time on my hands, I think... *shuts up before she hurts herself*

Well to be accurate we moved from LA to Missouri when I was five, then we moved to Massachusets when I was twelve, then we moved to Hawaii when I was thirteen, then we moved back to Missouri when I was fifteen.

The reason for all the moving is due to my dad being in the marines (Master Gunnery Sargent). And I've been to Saint Louis but I live in Kansas City, about four hours away on the other side of the state.

And next to Cheese Danish can I create Dill Pickle

Okay, that's not quite so bad. At least you were used to moving (though considering the fact that I've only lived three places my entire life--where I was born, where I grew up, and where I currently attend college--I couldn't imagine moving that much). What was it like actually living in Hawaii? I can't imagine doing anything but vacation there (not like I actually have or anything).

So does that mean that the local high schools would be cross-town rivals? Ooh... and since it's Utah, they'd pick out the fiercest, vilest mascots they could think of: "LAYDEEZ AND GENTLEMEN! WELCOME TO THE BIGGEST FOOTBALL GAME OF THE YEAR... THE CHEESE DANISH JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES AGAINST THE DILL PICKLE CATHOLICS!"

Well living in Hawaii was pretty nice. (Unless you are allergic to the local flora like my sister in which case you well be tortured with cold and phenomia twice a year.) The people their were pretty cool although the public schools were.....pretty bad. So for 7th and 8th grade i went to Kailua Christian Acedemy (we had thick wool uniforms in Hawaii heat.....) a private school.

Cheese Danish Jehova's Witnesses vs Dill Pickle Catholics.............well whoever wins goes to State againt the Vanilla Mormons :P

yep ... at least canada is good for something ... strong beer and lower drinking ages... though personaly i think the drinking age is bullshit ... i'm 18 and 8 months and according to the law i can't handle the responsibility of drinking, but in 4 months i'll magicaly be able to comprehend them ... such bullshit...

I grew up in an italian house ... Alcohol is more common then water. drinking is nothing new to me, i've been drinking since i was a little kid, it's nothing special for me. which is problaby why i don;t care for it at all now.

by the way, Haruko isn't a nympho ... she acts like it but she's very much in control of her sexual emotions.

Yeah... I'm one of those people who thinks that the legal drinking age should be lowered. It's forbidden fruit right now, so people think it's special. Will some people still go out and get drunk? Yeah. But if it's not treated as something exciting, then it won't be exciting.

Literate Christian females are pretty rare, it seems. I lived around Chicago, now I live in Iowa City and haven't seen any. Even at church they were hard to find...

Anyway, J-0080, you live in KC? My dad lives there, I used to visit every summer and every other Christmas but not as often now that his drinking has increased so much. He works at UMKC, he's the theater set director or something. I really like the city, especially when they've got the lights up for Christmas time.

You probably tried the wrong churches then. Granted, in West Michigan, every other person is Dutch, and therefore a member of the Christian Reformed Church, so therefore said females are not quite such a rarity. Which is possibly why I'm currently single...

It's so true.... should we have limits? Yes. Should they be overly strict? No. It's human nature to want what you can't have......
