These games do require some investment but they're still extremely skill intensive. Given the same card pool the more skillful player with still win almost all the time since they'll both make a superior deck and play the game better.

Here's something that will shock you.
Klinky said : Isn't like alot of magic based off of how much money you dunk into a card set
I mean like, I'd always lose at magic with my friend since I'd get shit cards and he'd get good cards. It's like I could be the best if I had a big fat wallet :\
With me that isn't true. I don't have a big wallet. I spend possible $30 a month on magic at most and then once every four month I do a pre order for $75.00 and that really isn't that much compared to anime which is near $150- $200 a month. Anyway with me it is supply and demand If I have a card you need then usually they'll trade and I'll get what I need to build my deck. Plus Serra/Shivan is really strong eventhough other say it is weak. But then they regret saying things like that because it comes back to haunt them afterwards.

Oh no
I almost forgot. What if by any chance I do well enough at regionals but the deck I'm using Serra/Shivan it willn't be legal for Nationals and then the deck that helped me get this far I willn't be able to play. I just have to hope to build Serra/Shivan 3.0 if they put them back in 8th edition. Man this stinks I don't know what to do until the time comes so really I can't plan for Nationals until everything becomes final. I wish they would let you know ahead of time about this stuff.

Alucard_FoN has enough magic cards to feed a starving country.
So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab

Thaks..
Thanks. I think I'm gonna need that luck to get through Regionals. Only 2 months away and counting. Who will be the Regional Champion this year. Only time will tell. Only thing I have to say for my opponents is this quote from gene "You better get ready."

The inticpation of the Regional tournament is building as people all across Maryland a wait the day for a shot not only to be Regional Champion but guranteed a spot at the National Championship. I know it is a long shot but I think if I play my cards right and pay close attetion to the enviroment I'll be able to do well. Serra/Shivan 2.0!!! ROCKS! "YOU BETTER GET READY"

Not a bad perfomances today
Today I went to a magic toutnament and of course played Serra/Shivan 2.0!!! It won the first round without a problem 2-0, but then ran into a snag against a tap deck but now I have that problem worked out. (0-2) Then the third round was fast and furious and I ended up winning 2-0 against a pure green elf deck. Plus the final round was interesting for I had the guy down to 4 life and couldn't finish him off for he was playing black control. Then I had him down to 7 life but not enough umph in the Dragons to take him down. Plus the Blightcutter from my 15 card sideboard did help but not enough to win. (0-2) Overall I went 2-2-0 and finished 17th out of 35. Serra/Shivan is still strong so "YOU BETTER GET READY"
