Stop wearing a hat then. Get your hair cut fairly short, and styling it won't be a problem.
Just tell your stylist that you need a style that's wash-and-wear.

i don't like the way i look with short hair. i like how it's piss easy to take care of it, but i just don't like how i look. I tried to grow my hair but my mothe rwas boing a bitch aobut it and kept nagging me to cut it so i did. ANd now it's all short.
