I use Homesite 5 and word pad for the coding, and Paintshop pro for images.

Homesite is a super version of a text editor for web programing. But not a wyswig editor like Front page... Front page is evil!

IF you are going to use a Wyswig (I don't like them they don't give me as much control as I need plus most of my projects now and days are PHP) use Macromedia Dreamweaver MX. It is hands down the best Wyswig.
