I wouldn't worry about long posts. Normally it helps show that you know what you're talking about.

Originality is always good, but I find that some of the most important areas are capture quality, and song. I normally find myself watching vids that may have been done quite a fews times, but if I like the music and anime, it's all good. It may be DBZ to Linkin Park, but if it's well done, what do I care? Though then again... a well done one is actually original... LOL!

Yeah, I agree

. After ripping my own FMV files, I can see what an improvement it makes to the quality of the AMV. I agree with your points about what makes a good AMV too, I just felt it important that I state I'm not ripping off other people's ideas.
