I didn't choose shit. Besides I'm 17, it's not a university, it's a high school. Best in the State, one of the best in the nation. My grades are so high, and the recognition I get is unbelievable. It's why my parents want me to finish here. but all in all it is their choice.

I choose Long beach State, and San Diego State University. The two best Surf teams for college in the nation, and good schools might I add. Long Beach is two years, they're the best school. So I'll go there for the team, and for the money, since it's less i'll save than going to SDSU. Then when i graduate I'll transfer to SDSU and finish up my 4 year degrees. I still have 2 and a half semesters in this hell hold....

But when I'm home i'm home, that's it. My parents arn't going to be able to do shit or decide anything once i move back here.

well I kind of feel sorry for you now but still the logic of the whole thing still escapes me. For one how could you let your parents talk you into it, you seem like a pretty stubborn guy and two, this is going to be blunt but do they not like you or something, why send you so far from home?

well I am 17. Here parents have absolute rule until you're 18.

Besides, they feed me, clothe me, give me a roof. All of the basic things parents do. If I just said fuck you to them and left, why would they care to enforce those obligations? If I put up for one more year and like 2 months, my dad will pay for my college, and an apartment for me in Orange County. They'll continue those basic obligations so long as I some what follow their athoitAY.

It's not like i don't take my own liberty's tho like you're probably thinking about. i live about 35 miles outside of Dallas. I spend msot of my time in the city, and I doubt most parents want their kids in a major city into all hours of the night. I know my parents don't. I go to clubs and stuff at night to pass the time. It really pisses them off that it's mostly school nights.

well the age thing is legally the same thing here but my mum couldn't enforce her authority if she tried but I'm a good little girl anyway

I still don't agree with them sending you so far from home, it seems stupid to me but if you're willing to put up with it, fair enough.

yeah, houses on the bach are DAMN expensive, and impossible for any kid to rent out. My dad picking up the bill for that is a nice trade. I imagine it'll be something like a couple grand a month, that's NOT including utilitys...

So... 1 more year just about.. And since in that year I'll probably spend 3 or 4 months here, i think i can ahndle one more.

my mum's friend lives literally 20metres from the sea but it is the irish sea so it's cold as hell and radioactive because of the nuclear plant in scotland, but the sea's the sea. It's gorgeous anyway, a pity she's the most boring person on the planat or I'd visit.
