It shouldn't do that (duh)... I would recomend reinstalling or updating the drivers for the interface. If you can, hook up your roommate's computer to your connection and see if it is actually the connection that is bad.

Before you do all that though go into Control panel -> Network connections -> Local area connection.

click properties, select TCP/IP, and click properties. Make sure it is set up to obtain an IP address automatically and obtain DNS server address automatically.

If the connection itself is bad call you provider. If it is your computer I don't know what else to tell you without comming over there and having a look at it for myself

GOOD NEWS! I got my internet back!

But I still have no idea what happened. The only thing is that my IP address got changed, and it seems to change almost frequently. I don't know if that's the reason though.

Anyway, I'll check and post the forums once in a while since FINALS are coming up, and I have LOTS of big projects (mostly oral presentations

) and lab reports due near the end of the quarter.
