It's a product, a physical thing. As long as it's paid for, it's there to be used.

It's a product, a physical thing. As long as it's paid for, it's there to be used.
Hair gel is a finite product. When you use it, the amount in possession is depleted until it is gone and you have to buy more.
A program is not necessarily finite, nor physical, and a single copy can be used to place the program on multiple computers without "depleting" the original.
I don't see the comparison.
