I started making AMV's early 2001 and then I stopped for a while because after watching mine then comparing to sum AMV elite's video was really REALLY depressing.
The two vids i made b4 I joind the .org were (get ready for cliches): Evangelion - In the End and Evangelion - Chop Suey... and the reason I havn't released them is, *shock horror*, please dont ban me 4 this, I used bits from other pplz videos -_-, and also the ideas were already taken... so you won't be seeing them.
A few months later I joined a-m-v.org and made my next video, Evangelion - With You (Linkin Park), this was when I realised that I had a friend who could rip DVDs for me so I gave him my Evangelion collection to rip (no more rule breaking
). I was quite pleased with this vid and I dedicated a verse to each of the 3 children.After that I stopped making AMVs for a while then came back to it in the summer break when I had nothing else to do.
I am currently working on an Evangelion AMV (yes I may well be obsessed with Eva ^_^) to Jeff Buckley's - "Hallelujia" and It is proving to be a real chanllenge, (making emotional AMV's is harder than I first anticipated...).
Some big inspirations to me are:
- Evangelion "Engel" (by kevin cadwell?! I forget
)- Evangelion "Damaged (808 remix)" (by Koopiseva)
- Ruoroni Kenishin (OAV) "Frozen" (sorry i dunno the creator)
- Evagelion "Bohemian Rhapsody" (shonen productions)
- DBZ - Vegita dedication "In the End" (Dark Kamui)
- Evangelion - The one I love is "Iris" (Digitalgod, i think...)
If you read to here thankyou for hearing me out, and while your here ther's 2 questions I need to ask:
1. Is it possible to change my username? "Dougy" is pretty lame
2. The "edit my profile" and "enter a new video" pages don't have
a button that lets u submit your details or move on to the
next page, duz anyone else have these problems and why?
