Staring new video - X AMV

Post by Deaths_ally » Tue Jan 21, 2003 10:36 am

I'm just about to start creating a new AMV, and i was wondering what you would all think about it's concept..

Footage: X
Audio: System Of A Down - Aerials

I've shortened the song from over 6 minutes in lenght to a total of 3 minutes 55 seconds (basically i cut out the instremental part at the end.)

I like the idea, should be interesting. Although I'm going to warn you, Ive seen the first two DVDs of X and the movie and they do not posess ALL the same characters. The movie has one character the series does not and the series posses a great deal amount more characters and plot that the movie doesn't. For some character designs are also a tad different between versions so it may be best to stick to one or the other.

while the animation in the movie is good, the plot sucks. Go with the series instead. One of the best animes I've watched. Plot kicks ass, great character development, and more than just a non-stop-fighting glorified dbz movie.

Sorry, I guess I was a harsh in that last post. I just really like the series a lot. While the movie is good in its own right, it just does not compare with the series. Course, they had a lot more hours to work with, so they could afford some extra stuff. One thing for sure though, chicks with swords kick ass.

*update* I finished the AMV today at 9:30 am, no i've just got to do fishing touches then when i get my website up soon i'll be able to upload it..

i managed to get 98%of the footage in correct oreder as the song went along, bloody annoying but i resisted the urges to mix it up completly. hopefully soon i'll be able to get it up along with my other AMV's

Hmm, Aerials doesnt seem like it has a pace that could match the X movie
but I'll reserve judgement till I see it. BTW, SOAD owns!

Its a bad idea.

I know you don't want to hear it but X is extremely fast paced, and Aerials is incredibly slow. It may look good at first but you'll run out of footage trying to make up for the slowness or you'll either have not enough cuts to warrent an entertaining video.

Something for Aerials would be like Hellsing or Berserk. Berserk has the slowest action in anime history and Hellsing isn't that fast either.
