OpenAMV collapsed because the music video world just isn't ready for democracy.

If you watchend a few or the first 5 AMVs in ther Top 10% Videos, you will see the standarts of the studios (if the ditor is in a studio) |: otherwise every studio would be crazy when they take you with youre current skills :roll:

AMV studios are just glorified circle-jerks :P
and are usually consisted of a group of friends

All right then, here's a serious response. There are two main methods of joining a studio: you could make friends with people in the studio you want to join and they might invite you into their cabal, or you could just start a studio of your own and invite other editors to join. If you ask enough people, someone's bound to say yes.

What are you wanting to accomplish as a potential member of someone's studio?

good question.

well there are some reasons

1) to show people my skill
2) to be apart of something that i can do (trust me i am crap at sport and math and this is something that isent hard and you have total will on everything that is going on) lol
3) and to just take advantage of what i have now .. i am a improving AMV and i am confident to be in a studio

okay to make my answer way more obvious:
to get into a studio you gotta make friends with people and kiss the asses of its members... (of course with some studios this might not be enough, get on TF2 or Left4Dead and join the Steam AMV group and you might have a better chance too :P)
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Of course if you are wanting help/feedback you can always be more active around here, make friends with people, socialize, get off of the boobtoob long enough for someone to see your actual files rather than reconverted flv files, and pretty much ask for it. I'm sure plenty of people around here who are willing to rip your video a new one.
1. If you want to show people your skill, then all you have to do is list and make your video here and make it available for download, if you really have talent or skill eventually someone will recognize it and spread it around a bit.
2. You are already apart of it if you are making videos, leaving comments to other videos and socializing with the community, being or not being in a studio won't change that.
3. Once again being in a studio isn't about skill level... AMV studios are groups of friends that like to put stuff under the same name. If you really want to be in a studio either make friends with people and make one yourself, or try to make friends with people already in a studio.
