Mix real life images with anime

Anyone know people who have tried this?

This is my first time to this website, and I must say some things I like but some things I don't. The general consensus tends to like the same 3-4 anime here and that's it: Gunbuster, Higurashi, Final Fantasy Advent Children, and whatever is image intensive.

So, I'm giving up on anime completely and want to blend anime with real life.

I am currently gathering more real life shots in my local area and trying to come up with more ideas. My last 'real-life' project was fairly large, but it wasn't at the scope I'm looking for yet. Has anyone else tried this I can talk to?

Currently I have 3 themes: densha, sora, and umi. (trains, sky, and sea)

The theme here would have to be sports, as you'll see.

The idea of mixing live action with anime Has been going on for quite some time now, for a rather "mainstreaem" example (That also sound exactly like what you're trying to do) would be.

I know there's quite a few other examples, but they slip my ming atm.

How much have you been looking around? Check out the announcment forum sometime, the only one of the anime you mentioned that even come close would AC, and even then you only see one every couple of weeks or two. I've personally only seen gunbuster used in two amvs.

I will look at it now.

I was thinking simple images. Maybe like Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou and then pictures from your backyard, or riding around on a motorbike. Like remember the yellow motorbike at the end song of Furi Kuri, image that is hard to get out of one's head.

Oh, well what I just referenced is nothing like that. >_>
It was just the first video that came to my mind that had Anime and LA footage used together, because it's the most recent AMV I've seen that had that.

yes but the video Vivaldi referenced is EXACTLY like that

however this comes to mind as well...
