Concept or Execution?
Not sure if this topic has been discussed prior to this, but if it has then feel free to link me to it and lock this one.
I was wondering, between a video with a good underlying concept but bad execution of the idea, and a video with no concept but good execution, which would you rate higher (on a personal basis)
What I want to try understand is if people prize artistic merit over how well that idea is executed.

I'm pretty much agreeing with this. Though a decent idea with a perfect execution imo is nicer then the awesome concept with the decent execution. It will end up getting the look of the editor not being ready for his own idea.Zarxrax wrote:They both go hand in hand. If you execute a boring idea perfectly, its still a crappy video.
