What do you do when...

What do you do when you envision an AMV in your head, but you can't actually pull it off? I've had tons of ideas that would look just awesome, but I just can't get them to work. Even the simple ones come out turning just plain bad.
It's really starting to get annoying... >_>
What do you do when this happens to you?

Keep working on it and not finishing it till you get your vision across. Also known ass most likely not going to finish it this year/ever.

happens to me all the time, i just find something else to do and dont think about it anymore

Yeah, but when you try over and over to get it to work, and it doesn't... You're still gonna try another 100 times?

just write down the idea on notepad, go do do other projects, then come back later when you have a higher skill level.

I get annoyed when an idea does come out the way I wanted, but once I actually do it, it looks completely retarded.

Sometimes ideas are meant not to be created.

I like the notepad idea or start on this idea of yours and leave the project collecting dust on your external.
