need help finding a codec

I have this idea using episodes 133-134 of naruto, while also using the song devour by shinedown. But they won't read on my windows movie maker, it says I need the right codec installed. where could I find one that is easy to find/download?

ok,thanks..but,I'm kinda' new to this whole thing and,I really don't know where to get dvd rippers,or how to crop fandubs...any suggestions about that?

well you could download a sony vegas trial. real easy to crop.

well...the thing is, is that I would do all that,but my internet provider gives us a bandwidth limit(I think they are ripping us off..

) and I can't downlaod/view movies on youtube/play games/or use the internet too much or our bandwidth will run out and make our internet slooooow...but yeah, I have a codec now, all I need to know is that basics on how to crop my clips using windows movie maker,and turn each clip into smaller clips to match the music(using ep:133-134 of naruto to revenga,by system of a down)

Be sure to check out the guides

If you are gonna be using a downloaded source, make sure you convert them to huffy, lagarith or another lossless compression.
If you edit with clips encoded with divx, xvid or other lossy codecs, you will run into some problems.

For cropping and stuff you will need virtualdub/mod

oh...
well,I already made two so far(go to you tube to check them out:one's called naruto vs. sasuke-revenga by strifedragondude, and the other is final fantasy VII:last order-when demons awake)...but i got frusterated with the cropping, so i gave that up

...but next time i wont
