Help with a song?

I want to make a romance/comedy amv with Excel Saga, but I'm having some difficulty picking a song. I don't want the song to be too funny to start with, but rather hilarious when pair with the anime. I was originally thinking of using Never Gonna Give You Up, but do you think that the novelty of using the Rick Roll song would wear off to quickly? Expecially if the amv is going to (hopefully) be presented at a con?
