Hare Hare Yukai... Like you've never seen it before.

Hmm, maybe the title was being a bit egotistical, but what I had in mind was making an AMV based on the dance "Hare Hare Yukai" (Haruhi Suzumiya) but with various famous anime characters in place of the SOS Brigade.

Now, if this has already been done, please tell me now, before I get any more ideas into my head.

What I've planned is for a variety of different anime characters dancing to the music, with the camera switching between different combinations.

I'm well aware that this would take a very long time (as I would have to draw each character) and I'll most likely give up not even 10 seconds into the AMV, but I'd still like to try it.

If this were to go ahead, it would defiantly not be in colour, as that would actually kill me. Drawing them is hard enough.

What I need to ask is, what anime characters could you recommend I put in?

I have a few ideas of some, but because I haven't seen every single anime there is, I wouldn't know every single character there is.

Here are my ideas:

- Naruto (Naruto) for the narutards
- Ed (Fullmetal Alchemist)
- Kaname Chidori (Full Metal Panic!)
- Naru (Love Hina)
- Rider (Fate/Stay Night)
- Rei (Neon Genesis Evangelion)
- Chiyo (Azumanga Diaoh)
- Clare (Claymore)
- Chrono (Chrno Crusade)
- Goku (Dragon Ball Z)

I'm aware that this list is rather small. It's mainly because I want people to be able to recognize who it is that's dancing, as I'm not sure how accurately I can draw the characters with my skill/patience.

The characters I did choose all have very distinguishing features, so that even when I do draw them slightly chibi, they should all be recognizable to the viewer.

Any suggestions for characters would be nice, and any advice/tips/warnings would also be much appreciated.

If this were to go ahead, it would probably take me the rest of the year (or more) to finish this :/

I don't think I have seen anything similar to what you are describing.Quite the task to be undertaking and it will be difficult to make it look good. I say if you are willing to put the time in to make it then go for it. I will be eagerly awaiting the result if you do.

Hmm, I checked Hare Hare Yukai and figured that there are 24 scene changes.

I also understand the sheer difficulty of this task, so I'm wondering if I should announce it as some kind of MEP where I can split the 24 scenes among say 4 people so we could get it finished faster. Of course, the people would need to have drawing tablets and some considerable skill with drawing, but that way I would be able to get this done before the end of the year.

Also, that would also rely on the fact that there are people interested in helping.
