Would this count as an AMV? -->Character Replacement

Post by dokool » Sun Dec 29, 2002 12:40 pm

Hey all,

I've had this idea floating in my head for a while, and it's so crazy that I just may do it.

Basically, my idea was to take an already-existing, REAL music video... and put an anime character into it. I.E. take a dramatic music video... take a character OUT of it, and put an anime character into it.

The Video: Incubus - Warning
The Anime: Serial Experiments Lain

Basically, I'd be taking the lead in the video (the girl who keeps screaming), and replace her with Lain. This would involve photoshopping and rotoscoping like a MOTHERFUCKER, but I think it can work. All I'd need to do is find poses of Lain in the same position that the actress in the video is in, do some creative editing, and it'd work.

What do you all think about this? Good idea? Bad idea? Sign of the apocalypse?

id say give it a shot :)
...the problem I see a lot is that many good amv makers think they suck, and many bad amv makers think they're good.
I've seen it happen, man! I've SEEN IT!..
