3 scenes alternatively
I have seen some video's play 2 scenes at the same time, but using clips that alternate between the 2 scenes during a drum riff etc.
Now using this same principal, do you think have 3 scenes play together rotating would be too much?
At what point do you think it get's to be too much to follow for a viewer?
Se my thinking is that it would make the video rewatchable as you could follow one scene and have a little hidden easter egg with the other 2 scenes you could go back and lock on to the same. But there is a fine line that needs to be drawn where it just becomes a bunch of clutter mess.
What do you think that line is?

i think 3 scenes would be too much on fast drumbeats as most people wouldnt catch it...
if the drumbeats are slower you might get away with so many scenes

Well to give you an idea of the pace of the song and the clips, it's during a heavy bridge but the drum beat tempo itself is only moderate. It's much more the guitar riff that is quick and heavy. The guitar player uses alot of the palm muting technique.
But I did time out the whole portion of the video and most of the intervals are about 00:.05 in length with the parts directly after where the drum beat hits going as long as anywhere between .07-.21 depending on which part, but most are about .10 in length. Every odd beat there seems to be a longer note being held.
I'm really not sure what to think after looking at the test I did. On one hand it looks like it could be followed and is very artistic, but then on the other hand I do feel like it might be pushing it just a little bit. Of coarse, I'm also very fearful that because I had the idea, that I just might be a bit biast to it, and that in other people's eyes it might look like piled up junk... which is something I'd like to avoid.

Yeah, I really could use someone like that. Actually I was thining about that alot the past week. If I could just find someone experienced cool enough to do that, it would greatly appreciated. I've got a friend in the fan base who got me into this hobby who I could show, but then I'm afraid that might spoil the video for him since he's been waiting so long to see it.JaddziaDax wrote:you said a lot of numbers @_@

Maybe someone around here could be my behind the scenes quality control person?
I give out credits too! Credits are due to those who help.
Any takers? PM me if you're interested, or maybe I should go to a different forum to request this?
