Sync considerations

Post by Orwell » Mon Jun 04, 2007 11:43 pm

For a introductory video I plan on doing, I've selected a source that I have yet to think of a way to decently sync to. No significant beats, and no major variations. there's an occassional quiet beat which might serve as a point, but to use that would leave so much ignored that it'd look awful. A short sample of what I'm working with.

Could do one of those overly synced 'concept videos' with that where every note gets some sort of sync.

Why do you even want to edit to a song like that? :? If a song is unsyncable then don't bother with it and pick something better. Otherwise the video would probably just turn out boring.

You could synch to nothing and then claim you were "animation synching".

I dunno, it seems just as syncable as any other instrumental to me. :?

So, basically, you're saying that you have no imagination or talent and have to cherry pick audio to suit your rather limited skills? If I wasn't so astounded that all my beliefs over the last few years have just been confirmed I'd be laughing my ass off right now.

I love you, godix, and I am laughing my ass off.

Let me clarify by saying that nothing is unsyncable. And if there were, there is nothing better than it.

Another victory for the G-man, even if this one was just about fed to him.

Also, the link isn't working for me. Anyone wanna re-upload it elsewhere so I can check it out after I'm done with work?
