Thoughtful lyrics really include the first verse, and the chorus- (sorry for the long post, but I think this really should be zeroed out)
"...Its been five years since Ive seen her face
Shes the holy ghost lost without a trace
And now were left with the what ifs...
...Shes a casualty of all the pressure
That we put on her
And now we've lost her for good...
...Well I never knew you
Wish I could've saved you
From losers that drained you
Before you got strung out
With so much potential
How could you let us down...
Ending chorus:
Its such a shame shame shame
That our homecoming queen
Was a lot like you and a lot like me
And she never walked on water
Cause no one really saw her
Its such a shame shame shame
That our homecoming queen
Had a lot to prove and so many to please
Shes just somebody's daughter
Just looking for somebody to love her"x2
And there's a sweet guitar solo at the end for closing shots.
Listening to the song again this afternoon I imagined a character profile for Lucy/Nyuu. I'm thinking little focus on blood and gore, and make this a more subtle, sentimental video with scenes from the flashbacks and much of Lucy's present relationship with Kouta. During a search for keepers recently I came across an awesome one by jgeraldeli, possibly the cause of my epiphany: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... p?v=104437
Oh yea, and spoilers are a go, and encouraged for best clips. And I'm going to pull a a George Lucas on this one, I like elaborate transitions.
There are only 17 vids featuring Hinder at all, and I think this would make a great one. I'd work on it myself, and maybe I will someday, but right now my summer schedule is way too tight- Too bad, 'cause I just got Sony Vegas and After Effects
