What's funny is that these are 'vets', so they're people who are already known and were once active. It's not too hard to figure why they would quit after time, or after a certain amount of praise and fan recognition (can't be a vet if no one knows you).

I'm more curious about why the oldtimer lurkers quit.
Hi...
I don't think I quit yet, I'm just lazy
that's a good reason to make series of amvs...
"Strength lies in action. Let the weak react to me..." - Kamahl, Pit Fighter from Magic: the Gathering
"That is a mistake many of my enemies make. They think before they act. I act before I think!" - Vortigern from Merlin ('98)
"I AM REBORN!" - Dark Schneider Bastard!! OAV

Being a vet means getting drunk at AWA with other vets. This is the only standard of measurement. Being popular doesn't make you a vet. Britteny Spears isn't a vet, shes just a bitch with a bald vag.

That would make for A LOT of vets then.

(he does this nearly EVERY AWA)

I think I've seen this twice...does that make me a super vet? >_>

No. It just means you're old, crufty, and likely covered in vomit.

Sorry, if i only read site 1.

But, i was thinking too, if the name AnimeMusicVideos are right for here.
Some MTV edit vids (with no kind of anime realatet). To fast cutting packing with effects videos.

Hello? Are you making an ANIMEmusicvideo? or an MUSICvideoanime?

Well, there are diffrent types. But, i think im an Emotion/Storyteller AMV builder, and its a hobby of me.

i've seen some videos packed full with effects, "megapacks" musicanimes and so on...

I like videos, when you hear the music in a radio or walkman (today IPod), and recall the image in your mind...

Not fast-food productions paked with effects... where the music is the fokus and the anime only the "background"

But, how i said. Its probaly my type. I'm a oldshool anime fan. Birthyear 73. Seen Princess mononoke, and other Chibil studios stuff...

I need my emotions storytelling animes... i raised with them...

umm.. im drifting away...

Mfg,
Seska1973

p.s. Mod? can you look into the "donation" emails? thnxs :)

What a fantastic line. I wish I'd thought of it. Someday I'll make it back to AWA and put it to the test...
