Top 3 vids based on star rating

Post by Blackwaterdragoon » Sat Jun 10, 2006 5:17 pm

I know there's a some people that don't really like to rely on the star rating system, but hey, this is just for fun. Just list your best videos based on your highest star ratings. Also post your star rating next to them as well. As a bonus, you can descibe what your video is, just to explain how it got it's star rating.

Mine is as followed.
1. Heart Once Lost 3.71
2. Bitter Peace 3.57
3. Love Story 3.5

Seems mine are little bit above average, which is not bad for using Windows Media Maker. I try to avoid using too many effects, I just try to make them just right.

1. Heart Once Lost is a remake of a vid I didn't publish to the site, that was named New Beginnings. I just didn't feel that New Beginnings would be as good and as it seemed when I first finished it. After a few weeks, I decided to a remake the video and it seemed to be the best video so far.

2. Bitter Peace, now I had fun making this video, but I made this about 3 times over, since I couldn't find the right song, to match the theme of the movie. It seemed to have came out alright.

3. Love Story, this really needs to be remade, I just haven't came around to it yet, since I haven't found the right clips yet. It'll be coming soon. :)

I'm asuming we're not including meps so here we go.

1. F.E.A.R. 4.02
2. Project Xanthium 3.85
3. Slipping Away 3.67

Its a nice sign of progression for me as Nr 3 was my first actual video where I WORKED on and Nr 2 afte that and Nr 1 Beeing my latest. Its a shame we dont have star ratings on indirect downloads seeing as my hentai video's never got their chance at going for this. And I mean I can savely say that my most populair video to date is Molly ^^; Wich is kinda sad I guese...

hm my top 3 are

1. Da Capo - Midday Snow 3.78
2. Mermaid Melody - I Do Love You 3.76
3. Various - Stop Looking at My ****! 3.75

The problem with this is half my videos arent even uploaded locally that people can rate them (and I've made like 30 in the last 4 years...) hence why I didn't have many to choose from. Da Capo one seems to be popular enough that it got on youtube, same with mermaid melody which is a teeny bopper magnet (I used so many cheesy effects apparently the cheese made it popular?) And #3 I actually put a lot of effort into, and its my most recent amv so I'm proud of it xD....but it seems an either like or hate video...cause the rating keeps bouncing up and down lol.

Not counting Animasia part II (3.99), my highest-rated videos actually are...

Crimson - 3.71
Destruction Dive - 3.71
The Plot Thickens - 3.63

Yep, considering most people wo know anything of my videos know it from "The Wasteland"...

I guess that shows the oddnesses of my videos/tastes. It's hard for me to make a video everyone will like. In this regard, my two hard rock/oldschool metal videos are probably closest to pleasing the majority, and that is reflected. What I found odd there is that Crimson is a far more sophisticated video (both in terms of composition and editing) than Destruction Dive, and yet the rating is the same. That said, I personally like both the same too, so I guess that's fair.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
