The song is not too slow, and not too fast. Very poignant, and I think the feel of the song, if not the letter (ie, "like 20 years before" is too long for their relationship, but the way Hohenheim just kind of disappears the next morning...), is very accurate.
Hopefully this will inspire someone. I'd love to see something come of this pairing of Anime & Song.
