new music for AMV

Post by vscott » Thu Feb 23, 2006 12:54 am

Hi all,

I just joined, and while I'm not able to do them myself, I think AMVs are incredible and I love them. However I'm too busy as a musician to make them myself. I had my first record released in January, but unfortunately there's no money for promoting it.

I would *love* if someone was interested in making an AMV of one of my songs.

I did do a search and found one other similar request, and it looked like people were generally not very interested. If that's the case, its cool, no problem. But its one of those things, I'd always kick myself if I never asked.

Here's a few songs to listen to if you're interested:

Gotta Go.mp3
Remember Vibgyor!.mp3
Fortune Favours the Brave.mp3

Take a listen, hopefully you'll be surprised! If you need wav or aiff files, that's no problem, or if you want a promo copy of the record, to see if you might like a different song that's cool too, just send me a message.

all the best,
Victor

BTW my favourite director of all time is miyazaki![/code]

Hi Scintilla, I work in pretty much all genres ... to me its just music.

Gotta Go, is kinda like a funky electro Prince style thing. Remeber Vibgyor, is a loopy sample based song with breakbeats and lots of weird vocal samples. Kinda like Negativeland or Kid Koala. Fortune Favours the Brave has that syncopated Jet type intro, and is a sorta punky new wave type thing.

I chose the ones I thought would work best, but if you have a style that you like to work in I might be able to hook you up with a particular song.

Here's some reviews:

"There's hip-hop, mariachi instrumentals, folkish pop ballads, soundtrack stylings with dialogue samples, the ghost of Antonio Carlos Jobim, and brassy butt-shaking dance music with bawdy double entendres."

"His music is impossible to categorise, each track seems to have a different style, from 60s-retro sound collage, to lo-fi indie, to louche disco groove, but it's all good."
