There is no easy path to making amv's. A lot of new creators uses these guides (below) to help. The concept and story have to come from you. You have to interpret the song and choose the anime. Nobody else is going to make those decisions for you. After reading the guides and you have any more questions that weren't answer feel free to post back here. Oh the most important thing is to take your time. Just don't throw something together at random and call it an amv.

Also, just playing around with a simple program is a good way to get a feel for editing. Practice, practice practice. Windows Movie Maker is free, and pretty easy to learn. It can be buggy sometimes so try not to get discouraged with it. But really the best way to learn, IMO, is to just try it out. Good luck and have fun.

Well... saying "teach me how to make AMV's" is like going up to an artist and saying "teach me how to draw." (OK, maybe it's not quite like that, but AMV creators like to think it is.) ;)

Point is, everyone has a different editing style and there's no quick and easy way to make a good AMV. By definition, good AMV's take time, a lot of practice, and much messing around with the computer program.

Start with some simple ideas on a basic editing program (like the ones suggested) and see what you can make. People here will be happy to give you feedback. I've seen some really nice AMV's for first timers.

Good luck!
