Gundam Seed Destiny and Naruto suggestions

I don't like Naruto enough to try poring through 100 episodes of footage for this, but I thought it might be a good idea:

Eminem's "8 Mile" to clips from Naruto. Seemed like a fitting song, especially for the Chuunin exam part. And you could have a cool freeze frame effect at the part of the song where he says "Snap back to reality, oop there goes gravity!" -- essentially freeze the frame just as Naruto is getting connected with a big attack then go back to fullspeed at that part and have him skidding across the ground hitting a tree or something

Other idea was a romantic video with Gundam Seed Destiny between Stellar and Shinn using the song "Collide" by Howie Day. With the very end of the song being the sinking to the bottom of the lake. I hate Shinn with a passion, but it just seemed like a very good song to fit their situation in the series. =)

I can't talk about Gundam, but please let it be with Naruto. It is totally overused, and due to the point that you are new, no serious person would pay some attention to your work. It would sink in the mass of crappy videos and you probably wouldn't have any success with it. I don't know how your connections to other members of this page are or how long you are working on videos. Still it would be a miracle for me if your video had a great succes.

Sorry to tell you this, but it's always good to use material that is rare. You can search this site for the most-used stuff. Using anything of this is killing your rankings for originality.

Work on other concepts, or try it with that Gundam thing, if it's executed well you might get some attention.

Err.... *scratches head* I thought this was the forum to post suggestions for OTHERS? I have no intention of making a Naruto video -- it was enjoyable enough to watch through once, but I wouldn't take the time to download the dozens of raws needed for footage. This was a suggestion to others who DO really like Naruto. It was just a brainstorm I had while driving when I heard the song on the radio that seemed to fit.

I've thought of doing the GSD video myself, as Stellar only appears in maybe a dozen episodes out of the 52 -- but there again I thought Shinn was a dick (as did 90% of viewers haha) so I thought I would throw this one out there to people.

And even though I'd imagine many new joiners are very bad when making videos, I'd appreciate it if you don't automatically take that tone. I've been encoding fansubs for almost 5 years now, including doing AfterFX work for titles and whatnot. (Zarxrax was a fellow fansubber around the same time I started) I will be using DVD source >> Lossless for my working footage and WILL be striving to do something more unique and memorable -- hence why I'm using Stellvia of the Universe for the video I'm actually working on.

He's not assuming that any video you make with Naruto will probably be bad because you are new.
He's assuming that any video you make with Naruto will probably not get much <i>attention</i> because you are new.

(And that's what conventions are for. As I always say.)

But you already said you wouldn't actually make a Naruto video, so.

That's what I assume anyways. I would gather that most videos don't get really popular until they have had at least 1 con debut.
