umm... can anybody help me in choosing what to use?

I'm a beginner in making AMVs and been using Windows movie maker for awhile now...

and I'm wondering if you guys can please help me...

what program should I go to now?

if its possible... the ones that makes the "strip" thingy in the AMV rather than the 'ol fade in fade out effects...

There's a load of different programs that you can use. From what I've seen, the two biggies that are used by editors here are Sony Vegas and Adobe Premiere. You can get free trial downloads from either company's site and give them a try.

One thing to definitely get is the AMVAPP that is free from the org.
