Digimon AMVs?
First off, I'm sorry if this was stuck in the wrong category. I wasn't sure whether to post this topic here or on the General AMV board, but after going back and forth, it looked like this board was devoted to more discussion of anime and less toward making AMVs.
I'm looking for some good Digimon AMVs. I've only downloaded one and it was pretty bad, so I'm hoping that some of you might know some that...well, don't suck. Actually, I'm hoping to find some good ones. There don't seem to be very many made with interesting music (very few incorporating music outside of this site's Top 30 list), which is usually how I decide if I'm going to go to the trouble to download any in the first place. Also, I don't ever see any being mentioned on the discussion boards. Surely there must be some decent ones!
Season 1, Digimon 02, Tamers, Frontier, the movie...I don't care. Despite the fact that most "hardcore" anime fans might dimiss it as a kid's show, I love Digimon, and I'm hoping that someone out there has made an AMV that will do it justice. So, any suggestions?
Also, I love reviewing AMVs, so consider this an open invitation for those who want an honest, fair, thoughtful, and critical review.

I know that there was at least one DVD released with episodes from the first season, and it was packed too (like, a dozen episodes, I think), as well as the Digimon movie, which is now widely available on VHS and DVD. Those look like 2 good sources for footage, and they might just be available for rent too.
You used to like Digimon? Does that mean you don't anymore?

Well, I don't know. Years ago when the movie was coming to theaters I was waiting and waiting, checking each friday to see If It had come to my town, which sometimes the movies just come late and it NEVER came. I had to wait for it to go on VHS and then I bought it the first day after going to 2 stores.
Way back I used to like Pokemon too...

I can remember looking forward to the Digimon movie, and then getting really excited when it finally came out. Thing is, none of my friends were into anime then, and I know they thought Digimon was just a cheesy cartoon for little kids. Obviously, I don't agree with that, but I knew that there wasn't much chance of converting them. I saw it by myself in its second week of release, probably the last day before it was pulled from all the local theaters. I don't think it did much business at all, definitely not as much as the first two Pokemon movies did in America.
To this day, it's probably the wierdest movie I've ever seen in a theater. The Digimon movie was just a horrible mess: 3 animated shorts re-edited, dubbed, and then crammed together into an extremely loosely assembled 80-minute movie. It was almost a surreal experience seeing it, particularly since I was the one and only person in the whole theater. On one hand, it seems kind of sad, but it was a real personal experience too that I'm not ashamed of. I still carry the ticket stub of it in my wallet.
Don't know why I recounted that story for you. Just felt like sharin' it, I guess. Also, you should make a Digimon video. I would make sure every Digimon fan in the world would download and watch it. Yeah, I'd do that for ya.

Can you rip footage from a DVD? Because the movie is widely available, as well as a DVD of a bunch of episodes from season 1. Those are the best sources of footage that I know of. Beyond that, you'd really have to search. It's certainly out there. Just depends how much legwork you'd want to do.
Digimon fandom is huge. There are more Digimon stories on fanfiction.net than there are of any other series. That includes Pokemon, Star Wars, Star Trek, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Harry Potter, Buffy... there are a lot more Digimon fans out there than you'd think. They want a good Digimon music video. At least I think they do.

Well, since this is about Digimon AMV's, I might as well present some ideas that could be used for a Digimon music video. They are:
* Linkin Park-"Pushing Me Away"
* TRUSTcompany-"Running From Me" or "Downfall"
* Sum 41-"Still Waiting"
Hopefully if someone reads this, they may have some ideas.[/list]
