Try buying the DVDs instead of downloading footage
I have no idea how to use this new forum.

Buy a DVD-Rom drive at your friendly neighbourhood computer store, or even Wal-Mart.

They go for as little as $20-25 a piece these days.

After that, read up on one of the site's guide (either the EADFAG or VicBond's footage guide), get yourself a free DVD-ripper program, and away you go!

You can try to use Virtual Dub filters to improve a little the quality of your footage, but you must know that if your initial quality is bad you won't get something really better. As it was said, if you want good quality, buy the dvds.

If you have a firewire port in your computer and a video camera you can do the tedious process of recording every scene you need onto your camera and then connecting the camera to your computer to feed them back if you can't afford the DVD drive.

That's what I did for years. I don't really recomend it though, it's liable to drive you completely mad.
