I demand a recount. I thought the guy at Otakon got the most votes saying he was the original creator. lol.

There are no dumb questions.
*looks at second question*
I stand corrected. It's Phade. Just about everyone here knows that. Look in the Memberlist, or here

But why is the first one dumb?

since black n white cartoon with classical music...

TOM n Jerry as an example of color cartoon....

Black n white Popeye with jazz like music...
to my knowledge, around the 50's....

but as someone stated before me, whenever the introduction of a animation was introduce, was the first AMV...

simply state, AUDIO in film came around 1932... im sure they had some form of a TOON, either for a spoof or not during the silent era where everything was with Music. No Voiceover... that would be its Root.

Annie-may von Musica Viday-o made the first AMV back in 1826 by shaving the faces off carved wood blocks and pasted them together with horse glue, while the horses were still alive. Since she didn't know much about music, the song used was actually her singing "O Canada" while she smashed a piano with a hammer. despite the hard labor she endured for this, the AMV was still crap. It was cherished though, since it was a rare once only showing. she couldn't afford another piano.
