What is the Common Theme in the Variations videos.

Post by Sporkmaster » Thu Feb 10, 2005 1:10 am

I apologize off hand, but I just do not see it. I have watched Variations Angéliques, Forever, Akira, and the Neko song. What makes these videos different?

Why not ask the editor?

ONLY ONE RULE : NO RULES !

And maybe, i think the similar point in these videos is that they aren't simple vids but way of life ....

Nop, seriously, it would be so hard to explain the origin of this decadence, but I think Atvaark is the more appropriate to answer your questions ;)

It's the artistic aspects of it. Watch em again, get the feel hehe.

I have a similar present-but-not-completely-overt thematic going in my 'project' videos.

Honestly, I'm gonna do a Variations video soon, too :P

C'mon... We're making AMV's to have some fun in our spare time. Not to find reasons, rules and theories, and even less winners and losers. (Oh, by the way, VCA sucks... Did I already mention it?)

Now, if you really need some rational statement to sleep well... I think the videos are all called Variations because people love me. So that's a kind of tribute to my work. 8-) :P

Or not...

How variations started:

Atvaark released an instrumental Akira video titled Variations, just an innocent personal project. Willow :--), who has been known to parody Atvaark, basically made a video that poked fun at his video. Then Kragdrim was talking to Willow on MSN and he was inspried by him to create a Variations 3, which is where the whole "multi editor" philosophy was seeded.

And all the editors who have made Variations videos are friends.. and French. It really isn't a genre or serious project, just an inside joke among friends.

The best is simply not to think about it
